A Buddhist nun from Nepal, Ani Choying Drolma has enchanted audiences from Hamburg to Hong Kong with the vivid purity of her voice. From the age of 13, Ani Choying Drolma was trained in the sacred chants at Nagi Gompa in the Kathmandu valley of Nepal. She joined the monastery to escape an abusive father - there she learned to forgive and found her talent as a chant master. Her remarkable voice was discovered in 1993 by American guitarist Steve Tibbits who combined with her to record her first CD "Cho". Released in 1997, the album was a sensation in the US.
13 CDs, a movie soundtrack and a Buddha Bar compilation later, Ani Choying Drolma performs around the world to provide funds for her many humanitarian projects.
