1. Safe Passage - song which is a prayer for consciousness to have a safe journey when leaving behind the body
2. Jigten - is about the feeling of being in two universe at the same time. Falling from one universe to the other constantly. And talks about snow flowers metaphor for the emptiness nature of all things, the four elements Sa Chu Mey Lhung - Earth, Water, Fire and Air, and the distant sun, moon and the stars.
3. Tonkha - feeling of emptiness if you are not there then the ocean is empty - if you are not there then the space is empty
4. Heart Strings Nying Thik - my mind in the sky and my body on this earth Om Ma Ni Phad May Hum ------ So Bhod Gyal Lo .... Om Ma Ni Phad May Hum...

9. Mig la Mig Chu Tears in my eyes - So many emotions rose up within me when I was doing the recording. Few of them here ... I was so happy in a sad way that this song came out the way it did. words tells story of almost everyone who came out since 59. So, it's kinda tribute song to my and every Tibetan parents who passed away without fulfilling their wish of seeing their homeland. While recording it visual of them talking about their childhood was in my mind as well.
10. Pangi Metok - is little love song with beats ... feeling of the song is watching the sun is setting in the distant horizon while the beautiful face moon is starting to peep

About Tenzin Choegyal
TENZIN CHOEGYAL draws on his traditional Tibetan roots to create original compositions which uniquely express his spiritual linage.
Tenzin feels a particular connection to the music of the wandering people of his homeland. He recalls his father’s mastery of the lingbu (transverse bamboo flute) and his mother’s beautiful singing voice and attributes much of his passion to those early influences. His music has been described as “beautifully evocative,” “healing,” “mesmerizing,” “spine-tingling,” and “transcendent.” With is musical journey, Tenzin also raises funds for Tibetan monks in exile as well as for the much needed education of the underprivileged Tibetan Children, TCV the school for Tibetan refugee children that he attended as a child. |
